President Donald Trump stated on Thursday that he expects to reach a trade deal with the European Union, but is in no rush to complete it. He made this remark after meeting with Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni. Trump assured that the deal would be fair and that there would be little problem making a deal with Europe or anyone else. Meloni, on her first visit to Washington, thanked Trump for accepting an invitation to Italy in the near future.
